Source Travel Group Ltd was a UK-based online travel agency and consultancy that offered holiday packages, flights, hotel bookings, cruises, and other travel arrangements. The company operated digitally, serving a mixture of leisure and business clients.
The company was first established in 2021 by Adam Thornhill and Heather Fletcher, who are both from Liverpool. Adam started in the travel industry after selling his local taxi business and wanting to move into a new sector.
Josh Smith was later appointed managing director, with Adam serving as director of innovation from overseas in Dubai, and Fletcher moving into the role of travel administrator.
Source Travel Group operated as an online travel agency, providing services such as tailored holiday packages, flights, and hotel bookings. It also offered cruise arrangements and business travel support through its entirely digital platform.
In 2024, the company also launched Source Labs, a tech division that provided cutting-edge digital solutions to small travel agencies. Services included web and app development, search engine optimisation (SEO), and social media marketing.
Behind this strategic expansion were plans to diversify the company’s business portfolio, while trialling new tech advancements like AI-driven planning assistance and streamlined user experiences.
Best Use of Social Media (Winner) – UK Business Awards
In 2023, Source Travel won the Best Use of Social Media (Travel Category) at the UK Business Awards, a significant accolade that recognised its efforts in digital engagement and advancement within the travel industry.
Mansfield Town Football Club
In 2024, Source Travel Group entered into a three-season commercial partnership with Mansfield Town Football Club, becoming both the club’s official travel partner and sleeve sponsor. This sponsorship increased visibility of the brand and successfully aligned Source Travel with the club’s growing presence in League One.
The partnership coincided with the launch of Source Labs, which was positioned to offer web and app services to other agencies. Industry press noted this strategic move into sports sponsorship as part of Source Travel’s wider activity and growth ambitions, helping the company gain significant momentum online and in the press.
Sustainability Initiatives – Planting 100 Trees
Source Travel also engaged with sustainability initiatives during its operation. Through its partnership profile on Ecologi, the company funded the planting of over 100 trees and contributed to an estimated reduction of 10 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Source Travel Group was dissolved in 2025.
